The Japanese weave family is one of designer Tracy Harmon's Favorites; the possibilities are almost limitless, and the construction process is quite straight forward. Though a favorite weave, it is time consuming and ring intensive. Adding rubber rings to this weave cuts down on the number of rings to open and therefore comes together much quicker. When this project was released, Blue Buddha supplied limited-edition kits to Interweave Publishing.
