Rondo a la Byzantine Bracelet

This combination of Helm Chain and Byzantine makes for a hefty bracelet that you'll treasure for years to come. With over 400 rings per bracelet, this dense weave requires patience and persistence, but the result is absolutely worth it!


You can add colorful rings to your bracelet to bring out the structure of the weave--and you can even create a subtly reversible bracelet! (The instructions include a project diagram to help guide you through setting up your rings to create a reversible piece.)

Rondo a la Byzantine is one of Rebeca Mojica's signature patterns; many artisans all over the world have sold pieces using this design.

 

Prerequisite: Proficiency in at least 3 chainmaille weaves, including the Building Block:

Rondo a la Byzantine uses the techniques learned in our Helm Chain tutorial. Please make sure you are comfortable with this weave before proceeding, as steps for creating this base are not included in this tutorial. Knowledge of Byzantine is extremely helpful as well.
