Intermediate Level

Akimbo

by Kat Wisniewski

A little off-kilter, staggered and definitely Akimbo. This intermediate level pattern feels like a warm sunrise with rays of complimenting color. This luminous bracelet showcases Czech glass rings that you can accent with colored enameled copper rings. When you weave this pattern for the first time, we highly recommend choosing two colors of glass rings and two colors of tiny rings to help you understand how to make the Akimbo bracelet pattern.

** NOTE: Blue Buddha does not currently carry instructions for this design. This is an archived page intended to provide eye candy and inspiration. **

Prerequisite: Proficiency in at least 3 chainmaille weaves. Knowledge of Japanese 12-in-2 (Japanese Lace) extremely helpful.

Example shown right uses a copper kit with garnet and light rose glass rings and burgundy and non-tarnish silver enameled copper rings.
