We accept American Express, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, checks and money orders. You can use the shopping cart system to check out with PayPal, or simply to compute an order that you will complete by phone or with a check. Please do NOT send your credit card information via email.
Gift Certificates:
We offer two types of gift certificates. Please refer to the gift certificate page for more information.
Shipping: If your items are in stock and you've selected Priority Mail, your order will ship within 2-7 business days (depends on the size of your order as well as how many orders are ahead of yours in our order queue.) Finished jewelry orders that are not in stock typically take 7-14 business days before shipping, as they must be handcrafted. If we must order supplies for a custom order, that may add several weeks to the turnaround time.
We prefer to ship DOMESTIC orders via US Priority Mail. Shipping rates are as follows:
$6.95 for orders up to $99.99
$5.00 for orders $100 - $249.99
FREE! for orders $250+
Note that PDFs do not count toward the order total for discounted or free shipping. Make sure your order has $100+ worth of non-PDF items in order to receive discounts on shipping.
Orders include Delivery Confirmation. If you would like to add Signature Confirmation and/or Insurance to your package, or have it sent by Express Mail, please email us or give us a call at 773.478.3767 or 866.602.RING (7464). We'll send an e-invoice for the services you desire.
We now offer Standard Shipping (First-Class Mail) for orders less than $35. If you order is $35 or more, the default price to ship is $6.95 via Priority mail. Standard shipping ranges from $2 - $4, depending on your order total. These orders will ship in a bubble envelope.
You can select Express Shipping during checkout, but that rate ($20.50) only covers items that fit in an envelope; if your items need a box, additional charges will apply.
Insurance prices begin at $1.85 and depend on the value of your purchase. If you choose not to add insurance, please note that Blue Buddha Boutique is not responsible for packages that are lost or damaged in the mail.
Signature Confirmation is $2.20 and is recommended if you have had trouble receiving packages in the past.
INTERNATIONAL shipments are a minimum of $13.95 ($11.95 to Canada and Mexico) for orders under $50. Actual rates depend on the weight and value of your items, and the destination country. (For example, anything "bulky" that cannot fit in the Flat Rate Envelope, such as tools or DVDs, will be subject to additional charges.)
New policy! Effective 01.07.10 We add Insurance to orders $50+ to ensure extra care is taken with your package. (We have had many problems with non-insured foreign orders getting lost, so we have deemed this measure necessary.) Insurance will increase shipping on your order anywhere from $10 to $30 for smaller, lightweight orders, and can be as much as $100 or more for heavy or large orders. Feel free to email us a list of the items you want prior to placing your order so we can quote your shipping price.
If you would like to add Insurance to an order under $50, or have it sent by Express Mail, please email us prior to placing your order. After you place your order and we process it, we'll send an e-invoice for the additional services you desire.
If you are required to pay additional charges, you'll receive an invoice. The order will be shipped once that payment is received. Depending on the size of your order, you may be responsible for customs and duties taxes, which can be very costly. You are fully responsible for contacting your local post office prior to placing an order to determine what charges you might incur. Under no circumstances is Blue Buddha Boutique responsbile for paying these charges.
Local taxes: Please note that a tax of 10.25% applies to residents of Illinois. Resalers, send us your Illinois State Tax certificate to qualify for tax-free purchases.
Finished Jewelry and Custom Work: We keep some items in stock, but most jewelry ordered online will need to be handcrafted after you order; please allow up to 2 weeks for your item to be made. If you don't find what you are looking for, please let us know. Whether you would like an item in a different metal, prefer different beads, or want us to create an entirely new design, our creativity is at your fingertips. We love making custom jewelry; we'll be happy to work with you to create a one-of-a-kind piece.
Returns/Exchanges: Refunds and exchanges are subject to restocking fees: for supplies the fee is $5 or 5%, whichever is greater; for finished jewelry the restocking fee is a flat $5. (Why is this?) Refunds are available for supplies and non-custom work only if items are returned within 15 days after receiving the items. All products must be in the same condition as when sent to you. Exchanges are available up to 30 days. Defective merchandise will be replaced or repaired at no charge during this time. Custom work is generally non refundable; this is decided on a case by case basis, and will be indicated on each custom work contract. Due to technological inventions such as the photocopier and DVD burner, instructions (PDFs, books, DVDs, etc) are not returnable. Additionally, sale items are not returable.

Enclose your order number or a copy of your receipt, and list the items to be returned/exchanged. Please include a contact number so we can reach you if needed.
Privacy Policy: Protecting your privacy is very important to us. Your personal and purchase information will never be shared, rented, or sold to a third party.
Why do we charge a restock fee for returned items?
When we receive returns (in particular jump rings), we need to carefully go through the entire package to make sure that no rings have been used. This prevents us from re-selling rings that a customer used/scratched/damaged and then threw back in the bag. (Yes, this does happen!) Unfortunately, we cannot trust that customers are returning 100% unused products, even if they say they are. It is time-consuming to inspect hundreds or thousands of jump rings, and it is unavoidable on jump ring orders, since we do not want to re-sell damaged merchandise. After all, what customer would want to receive scratched/opened/mangled rings in their order?
