If you make chainmaille, please take our 20-question survey
We’re building a better Blue Buddha Boutique! As we make plans to overhaul some of our offerings, we’re gathering feedback to make sure we’re adding items and features you want and getting rid of things you’re not interested in. If you’d like to help us serve you better, please take few minutes to answer our 20-question survey about your chainmaille purchasing habits and preferences.
Upon completion, you’ll receive a coupon code valid for $10 off your next order of $20 or more. Plus, you’ll have the option to submit your email address for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate!

After changing my Facebook profile photo to this, I’ve had a few requests from people wondering if they could use the image. Yes, of course! I eventually want to do a higher-quality version for buttons and/or T-shirts. But in the meantime, feel free to download and use the image below wherever you want it. (For private use only – don’t be a stinker and try to make money off the image.)
Mayhem (top) and Mayhelm (bottom) are the two latest weaves using the Onering/Whatif/May* concept – read more about Onering at Maille Artisans (M.A.I.L.).
You’ll need to know how to weave Jens Pind and Just One Ring first, and then you’re ready to tackle these guys. Check out the video below for how to create Mayhem and Mayhelm.
Note that the additional optional “small” rings are a slightly larger size than the small gold rings used in the original strip. They need to be larger to fully accommodate all the rings they are weaving through!
Show off what you make. Share what you make to the Blue Buddha page on Facebook and we might feature you as our photo of the day! Or, upload to Instagram and tag us: @bluebuddhaboutique #chainmaille
It’s time to vote on a colorway for our August Maillers’ Choice kit. Please select your favorite combination for the new colorful Carnivale bracelet by Sunday, August 2.
Carnivale, a beaded Double Spiral bracelet by Julia Rochholz, is a perfect piece to kick off National Beading Week. Tiny seed beads spiral around the weave, adding zest to this classic chainmaille rope weave. This playful project features L18 jump rings–18 SWG (1.2 mm) 1/4″ (6.4 mm)–with size 6 seed beads and a lobster claw clasp.
