Artisan Market Monday: Made by Cat Painter

Cat Painter (yes, that IS her real name — how great is that?), toils away in her Chicago studio, designing and creating tools for every day life.

Cat says, “I am always looking for the right tool for the job and when I can’t find it I often start sketching – from wishing I could find a reusable market bag that was compact, washable, roomy, and strong, to solving my husband’s problem of itchy, ill-fitting aprons. Since opening my Etsy shop in 2013, ideas have also come from shoppers and customers — whether it’s adding pockets to aprons or expanding table linens beyond Chicago (coming soon).”
