It’s possible that I’m a little obsessive in checking Amazon rankings for my book, especially considering it hasn’t even been released yet. *cough, cough* Today when I popped over there, I noticed that the cover image is now visible. Woo!

We will begin accepting pre-orders for Chained on our website sometime in September or October. (The book is due out in December.) If you want to be notified as soon as we begin taking pre-orders, please sign up for our special book mailing list.

In the meantime, yes, you can pre-order from Amazon, but I have a favor to ask. If you pre-order, could you do so on the 4th, 14th, or 24th of the month? The reason is that it will help the book’s ranking if there is a spike in orders on one day, and if the book gets pushed to the top of the jewelry category, even for a day, perhaps people will realize that chainmaille is indeed here to stay. :-) Thank you for your help in book bombing Chained! (Yes, book bomb is an actual phrase.) We’ll have a massive Book Bomb day much closer to the release date, for all you folks who have wishlisted the book.

Pre-ordered in April? Man, you guys are the best. :-) The Amazon ranking reached #3 in the jewelry category for a bit, and is generally hovering in the top 100, which is so cool!

I’ve pre-ordered the book at Amazon – in April already. I’m really looking forward, and I like the cover! Simple, elegant and not trying to look ancient (like many other chainmaille publications…)

July 4th I just ordered your book– I will be on my vacation in Oct.(the last 2 wks) hope to come to your store and purchase more supplies , paypal is kinda expensive.

Cheryl – So glad you like Blue Buddha rings! As soon as I’m allowed to post photos from the book, I will. The release date is so far away, that it’s best that I keep most of the designs underwraps…otherwise nothing will be a surprise when the book finally comes out!

Amy – Truthfully, I don’t have a preference. All copies that we sell will be autographed, which is a nice bonus for you (plus B3 gets to make a bit of money on the transaction). However, we certainly can’t beat Amazon’s price, and in these times, we totally understand that folks need to stretch their dollars. The boost in sales ranking is pretty nifty, too. In an ideal world, we’d love for you to purchase one from us, plus one from Amazon–keep one and give one for a gift. 😀 But really, do whatever works best for you. Either way, we’re sure that this chainmaille book is going to be a favorite of newbies and veterans alike!
