Guided Learning: Project Help for All Levels
Welcome to the wonderful world of maille!
Want to learn the basics of chainmaille so you can tackle projects on your own? Looking to hone your already-developed skills? Would you like to add a clasp to a project that you started ages ago, but never finished? Wondering what all those numbers on the supplies packages mean? Guided Learning is for you!
These affordable sessions are geared toward students age 16+ at any skill level. Most of the session will be spent working on individual projects, though the instructor may take a few minutes at the beginning to demonstrate basic chainmaille techniques, depending upon the needs of the students.
These sessions are perfect for those who need assistance with their projects, but don’t require a full-fledged private lesson. Get motivated to make beautiful jewelry projects today!
Guided Learning is for people who:
- want to make something but have no idea where to start
- want to learn basic techniques including opening and closing jump rings
- have general technique/troubleshooting questions
- are looking for a small size class to ensure some one-on-one personal assistance
- need help finishing a project that was starting in class
- want to make something they’ve seen in a magazine or book or on the Internet
- have purchased a Blue Buddha tutorials and kit and want to get started
- need help with ring size conversions
Thursday evening Guided Learning Sessions are BYOB.
NOTE: No supplies are included with Guided Learning. Students should bring in any instructions and project kits they would like to work on (or arrive 15-20 minutes early so a staff member can help select a project from our store). Blue Buddha instructors and staff will help with size conversions, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to supply every ring needed for non-Blue Buddha projects, nor can we guarantee that the shop will have exactly what you need in stock. Whenever possible, have a few back-up projects in mind in case you cannot weave your first-choice project during Guided Learning.
You may purchase a single session online or join us as a walk in. During your first session you can purchase a 4-session bundle or an 8-session bundle. Bundled guided learning sessions are valid for 3 calendar months following the date of purchase.
1. Purchase your first session here for $16.00.
2. Show up for guided learning & choose the level that's right for you. If you'd like to purchase a bundle, you simply pay for the remaining sessions.
4-session = $48 (the remaining fee would be $32 for 3 sessions)
8-session = $90 (the remaining fee would be $74 for 7 sessions)
